About Us

Pop the Bubble is a year-round student civic engagement initative presented by McMaster University’s Student Success Centre in Hamilton, Ontario.

The primary purpose of the initiative is to encourage students to become engaged within the greater Hamilton community.

Why a Bubble?

Many students refer to the ‘McMaster Bubble’ as an imaginary boundary around the university campus.  Some students often spend large amounts of time on or around campus during their McMaster years, while remaining isolated from the city that hosts them.

Pop the Bubble encourages students to get off campus and into the Hamilton community.  The goal is to provide McMaster students with resources to live, work and play their way to a more holistic and exciting student experience.
