All the world’s a stage
If indeed all the world IS a stage, then how did Hamilton luck out and get so much quality theatre? In addition to our close proximity to the world renowned Shaw and Stratford festivals, Hamilton has its own share of talent to share. This post is dedicated the variety of theatre and performing arts this city has to offer.
Theatre Aquarius – Right now they’ve got a production of holiday favourite ‘Oliver’ and in the new year they are bringing acclaimed Canadian playwright Joan MacLeod’s ‘Toronto Missippi’ to the main stage. www.theatreaquarius.org
Hamilton Place Theatre– A revolving door of talented acts: Stomp is coming up soon and in the new year we can expect a variety of performers ranging from ballet to opera, from the Doodlebops to the Trailer Park Boys. www.hecfi.on.ca
Hamilton Theatre Inc– Located on McNab Street North, this company produces about 2 shows a year. They just recently ran a production of Jekyl and Hyde and in the spring are putting up a production of ‘Hot Mikado’. http://www.hamiltontheatre.com/
