Aboriginal Festival in Hamilton

2009 Aboriginal Festival Poster -- In Hamilton for the first time!

Hamilton is playing host to the 16th Aboriginal Festival this week! It’s an exciting new festival in the city and if you’ve ever been curious or interested in Aboriginal culture, all are welcome. Friday is the Aboriginal music awards being held at Hamilton Place. The big festival days are on the weekend though — Saturday and Sunday. If you’re thinking about it, perhaps the attraction of a real-live traditional pow-wow competition will win you over, or how about the renowned marketplace with cultural goods and crafts. If neither of these tickle your fancy there’s also a number of workshops and presentations throughout the day. The event got over 40,000 visitors last year in Toronto, so come out for an awesome time!

The festival runs all day Saturday and Sunday with tickets at $10 and $12 for each day.
