McMaster Wins SmartCommute Employer of the Year

The summer months are full of opportunities to use alternative, sustainable transportation.  SmartCommute, a program run by the City of Hamilton, is dedicated to bringing awareness and providing initiatives to commute in a more active and sustainable way.  This year, McMaster University won SmartCommute’s Employer of the Year because of their dedication to providing alternative commuting solutions!

Want to jump on the SmartCommute bandwagon?  Here are some of the programs that they have going on this month –

‘Walk, ride, or roll down James St. N’

James St. N will be closed to automobiles and open to a festival of people walking, cycling, rollerblading, free demonstrations and activities from Cannon St. W to Burlington St. E!

Pick up a SmartCommute wristband and use the HSR for FREE all day

Friday, June 18 – Bike and Walk to Work Day
