Hamilton Sports Teams

Most people in southern Ontario support Toronto sports teams, but there’s actually a wealth of amazing talent right here in Hamilton! The Tiger Cats, Hamilton’s CFL team, are getting ready for their home kickoff date on Wednesday June 22nd, at the historic Ivor Wynne Stadium. Tickets are pretty reasonable, and the atmosphere is amazing; think rowdy, Hamilton crowds under a gorgeous open sky. The Ti-Cats made it all the way to the division semi-finals last year, losing in a close overtime battle; they’re back and even better this year, so look forward to some amazing football!

Hockey season is almost over for this year, but by the time we’re back at school for the fall semester training camp will be well underway. It’s pretty far (and expensive!) to get to Toronto for a Leafs game, so why not check out some great hockey right in our own backyard? The Hamilton Bulldogs are Hamilton’s AHL team, and the farm team for the Montreal Canadians. Swing downtown for a night and check out the NHL’s up and coming talent; they’ve been home to players like PK Subban, Carey Price and Dan Cleary!
