Attention Cinephiles!

Starting today and running to October 2- the Art Gallery of Hamilton is hosting the 2011 World Festival (aka the AGH CIBC Wood Gundy World Film Festival, in some circles).

Aiming to bring the best in innovative international and Canadian cinema to Hamilton, the festival has venues all over the city- from downtown to Ancaster, from Jackson Square to Mohawk College. (AND THE WESTDALE THEATRE, for those of you not interested in traveling very far!)

To check out the list of film, their trailers and all the pertinent film fest info- visit the website HERE.

Our suggestion- visit the website, pick a film, make a date and GO!

Our two top pics (although there are TONS of amazing films!)

‘Life in a Day’ at the Westdale Theatre on Saturday September 24 at 4pm.

‘The First Grader’ at the Empire Theatres in Jackson Square on Tuesday, September 27 @ 7:00 pm

If you see any amazing films- let us know! Enjoy the film festival!

PS- We forgot to mention that in addition to all of the amazing screenings, there are talks, performances and PARTIES! Don’t miss out 🙂
