Volunteering In Hamilton

Hamilton has numerous outlets for those who are interested in volunteering in the community. Many community agencies are in need of willing volunteers who are looking to gain experiences, provide support, and assist in any way possible with their organization.

Volunteer Hamilton provides resources for those who are interested in committing to volunteer work in the community but do not know where to start looking. By indicating your area of interest, or organization that you are interested in volunteering with you can get access to all the information you need to gain that new opportunity you’ve been looking for!

Abeerdeen Gardens Retirement Residence

  • A retirement home that provides 24 hour nursing supervision to individuals
    • Located at 330 Dundurn St S Hamilton
    • Volunteers needed for friendly visits and assistance with small scale events (like bingo)

Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton

  • An organization that strives to improve the lives of those suffering form Alzheimer’s disease
    • Volunteers are needed for program support, office support, friendly visits and event support

Children’s Aid Society

  • A non-profit organization that focuses on the well-being and protection of children
    • Available positions include:
      • Tutors
      • Special Event Volunteers
      • Clerical Aides

Environment Hamilton

  • A not-for-profit organization that helps create awareness of the environment
    • Looking for volunteers to assist in programs like Good Food Box Program
      • Needed for 2 hours on the third Wednesday of the month to help package food

        • Looking for volunteers to assist by writing articles for newsletters and blogs
