Looking for Something to do this Weekend?
Why not start getting into the holiday spirit? Now, I’m not one of those people who starts listening to Christmas music and decorates on November 1. I think, you know, that December is probably a better time to start doing all of that, but there are certain times when an exception should be made. After all, this Saturday (November 10th) Hamilton will be holding its annual Christmas parade to help get you ready for this year’s holiday season. The parade will run from 2:00 PM and will make its way down Queen St, east on Main St to John St where it will head north to King St then west until Bay St.
The Spec also has a ridiculously long list of holiday bake sales going on in the next few weeks. So if you really want to get into the holiday spirit but don’t want to wait until after exams for those homemade sweets, check these out and pick some up yourself!
Don’t feel like getting into the holidays until December? I don’t blame you. Why not check out the Locke Street Art Market? The market will be running every Saturday in November from 10:00 AM til 4:00 PM, as long as weather permits. Numerous artists will be setting up booths to sell paintings, stained glass, pottery, and photography, among other things. (It’s probably a great place to get Christmas presents for your friends and family too!)
No matter what you decide to do, make this weekend a good one! Oh, and don’t forget to cheer on our Marauders football team as we take on Guelph for the Yates Cup!
