Cootes Clean Up & Art Crawl Update
I wanted to start with a quick update about our plan for this month’s James Street North Art Crawl. This Friday (March 8), we’ll be meeting up around 7:00 pm outside the doors of Gilmour Hall 110 and will be taking a bus down shortly after. We would love for our readers and friends to join us for the ride and we encourage everyone to explore whatever they’d like upon arrival. It will be a great opportunity to relax on a Friday evening and maybe learn something new about what Hamilton has to offer.
On a completely separate note, there is a really cool way to get involved with Cootes Paradise preservation through the ‘Cootes to Escarpment: Dundas Ecopark’ protection program. If you’re interested in preserving our little piece of heaven, there will be a drop-in information session happening tomorrow (March 7) from 2:00-4:30 to learn about how you can help. There will be booths set up by local organizations (Hamilton Conservation Authority, Hamilton Naturalists’ Club and Giant’s Rib, among others) and there will also be brief presentations from some of these organizations. For more information, you can contact Wayne Terryberry at firstname.lastname@example.org, and if you would like to support the Dundas EcoPark, you can donate here.
Looking forward to seeing everyone this Friday!
