Supercrawl is Finally Here!
Hamilton’s SUPERCRAWL turns five this year, and on September 13 and 14 the city of Hamilton gets to celebrate! Supercrawl, a free event highlighting art and music, expects to attract over 80,000 visitors to the Hamilton’s James St. North.
The goal of Supercrawl, which is to showcase the intrinsic charm and cultural character of James St. North while hosting music, art, dance and theatre from Hamilton and around the world, has been largely seen as a great success (as demonstrated by its many accolades over the years)!
This year’s festival will be headlined by Passion Pit, an indie pop band from Massachusetts. Also performing at Supercrawl will be Canadian rock hero Joel Plaskett, electro-pop monster Diamond Rings, and Hamilton’s very own Dinner Belles.
McMaster students are highly encouraged to check out this great event – Residence Life will be helping to organize transport for students who live in residence. Not in residence? No Problem! HSR will be working on to make sure that every McMaster student has the chance to participate in this fabulous event.
Need even more incentive? Tweet pictures of yourself at Supercrawl using the hashtag #DiscoverYourCity and you could win great prizes including a Union Market gift card, a Discover Your City T-shirt, a MACGreen water bottle or a CD featuring local Hamilton musicians.
