Whether you’re an avid gardener, a locally-conscious foodie or just in the mood to learn more about the community, Hamilton Farm Crawl is for you!

This Saturday May 24th, the fresh country air will beckon us beyond the city limits to “experience a taste of rural life”. From 10AM to 4PM, three major farms (and a couple bonus affiliate farms!), will open their doors:

Weir’s Lane Lavender & Apiary: Take in the sights and the scents of the lush lavender fields. This farm features an array of lavender-accented goods, such as lavender face cleansers and lavender honey! The farm will also allow tours through their beehives at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

Lotsa Hostas & Jerry’s Berries: Ticket-holders will have the opportunity have a picnic lunch in the gardens; learn about tending to the versatile hostas, and the recipe for some mean raspberry jam!

ManoRun Organic FarmsLearn sustainable gardening practices from the experts! This farm offers a chance for visitors to learn about garden-planning, the role of farm animals and the difference between obscure farming terms like heirloom and hybrid. Bonus! Chef Ken Lefebour will be preparing some delicious eats.

If you are unable to go this weekend- do not fret! This is the first of two events: the second Farm Crawl of the season will occur on July 19th . Tickets for both events cost $15 per adult and $7.50 per child. You can buy them from Weirs Lane Lavender Farm & Apiary, or you can click here to purchase them online.
