Bike for MPS II Charity Ride

Another great community event is around the corner. Are you craving some physical activity? Looking for an active way to contribute to an important cause? Register for the Bike for MPS II Charity Ride! This is a brand new event, and your support will be benefiting the iBellieve Foundation, which is focused on funding MPS II (Hunter syndrome) research.

What is MPS II? Mucopolysaccharidosis II (MPS II), or Hunter syndrome, is a serious and rare genetic disorder that primarily affects males. It interferes with the body’s ability to break down and recycle glycosaminoglycans or GAGs. Excess GAGs lead to a build-up in cells, leading to serious symptoms such as decreased heart function, joint distortion, enlarged organs, and developmental delays. The disease is progressive and life-limiting. Learn more by watching this video.  Currently there is no cure but some treatments are available to make the disease more manageable.

Participate in this event to raise research funds and awareness for this rare disorder.
