International Women’s Day 2018: How will you #PressForProgress?
Today is International Women’s Day!
This global day is dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women; it also marks a call to action for gender parity.
As we celebrate the accomplishments of women and girls today, we must also recognize that we must engage women, men, girls, boys and all genders in the conversation of achieving gender equality.
Various events will be happening across Hamilton to celebrate this year’s International Women’s campaign, #PressForProgress. Click HERE to learn more about this campaign and pledge how you will #PressForProgress.
I challenge you to do something for the daily fight for gender equality. From donating menstrual products to local food banks and shelters to participating in the following events, there are many ways you can celebrate and show your support today regardless of gender!
